Or not.. That is the question. Part of me is saying go for it, while the other half is saying no more MMO's. The beta was great, I really enjoyed it, the Sith Sorcerer is awesome, the game is something fresh and new.

But yet again I remember the low points in the previous MMO's i have played, like the time sink, players that are assholes(number one thing i hate), farming instances for a single item and to never have it drop, thus making it harder to become a raider, and since you pay to play, I feel like I have a sense of obligation to get my monies worth, thus taking me back to the time sink. Constantly being judged on everything from gear to play style. These things make me glad I left WOW and MMO's in general.

So I dunno, I still have 18 days to decide.

You wont get a reply, since not many read forums nor care about SWTOR.

IMO SWTOR wont have to dedicate time. Just enjoy the game, and you can even play it as a single player game if want. My guild is not planning on being super hardcore with raiding schedules etc. Just gonna play it when I can and when I want with no worries.

Its really fun, and something new. So I cant really say what to do, but dont think every MMO is a time sink etc. Its a game foremost. Any online game your gonna have people judging and aholes, even consoles. Just nature of the community. Its what you make of it though.

Good points I forgot you could play this game as if it was a single player game, thanks to companions.

Settzer and Finale will be my main 2 toons. I am an officer and can invite if needed.

I'm on Mindtrick Sith side. I have a small guild, but I'm allied with a larger one that a friend is in.

Its a west coast PvP server, but im kinda pissed. Played a lot last few days, up to lvl 37. But the queue times are completly unacceptable of 3+ hours at times. If it dont get fixed im gonna be bitching big time, and finding out about transfer or something. I would usually just roll on another server, but they placed my guild here and already spent soo much time lvling up characters.

Id rather be East coast PvP, but guild I was in decided for West. O well..see what happens. game is fun though at least. See how long it keeps that way and if they resolve few issues I have.

All MMO launches are like this. Do you remember when WOW first started? talk about unplayable. But you think its bad now Cold? Wait till the 20th when the game goes live!

Its the fact that the guild placement system forced my guild of 50+ members here, along with our daisy chain of guilds from SWG days. Not to mention that was borked to hell. I have NEVER waited more then 30mins on any game. 3-5 hours after 2pm eastern is just stupid. They dont seem to be doing anything but adding new servers. I am lvl 44 with over 3 days played time. I am not gonna reroll to a new server cause they fucked up the system. Its just stupid atm, game is super fun for me. But when only half the guild can get online at a time is just stupid, not to mention if you get dced or that you have to get in line.

They better clone server, add to cap or allow guild transfers cause this is getting out of hand. I am sick, so woke up at 1:30am, logged in to a 1200 person queue only hour and half after servers came back up from maintenance.

Like I said I remember when wow first started; hearing about the stupid long ques. BH never really had that problem, but some of the more........ famous servers had legendary wait times. Its gonna be fun tomorrow when the game goes live and the whole US gets let in! I've got my Troll face ready for the whiners on the SWTOR forums.

well the game launch went a lot smoother than I thought, though the population is dispersed unevenly, I wound up on a low population server. And by low population I mean low population. I'm pretty sure there will be server mergers in 2 weeks, because right now it looks like there are 2 types of servers; Full (with waiting time) or low population.

and I totally dont mean that in a bad way. I actually think FTP would make the game stick around longer. Not to mention the fact that with all my other expenses purchasing the game and paying a monthly fee are out of the question for me, for now.

Sure Feroz. I'll add you. I was out of town for the past week.

Looks like the friend and guild systems is wonky still. Just ask anyone from Crux Draconis to invite you. Or look for me. My char name is Velana
