WoW x64 Bit Client

02 February 2012 - 11:46 AM

For those who don't prowl around Mmo-Champion there is now a x64 bit version of World of Warcraft that can be used. If you are on x64 bit of course. It allows the use of more ram and such, which this game isn't very ram intensive but still. It's still a performance increase.

A 64-bit client is once again available for use with Patch 4.3.2. Before being able to launch WoW in 64-bit mode you will need to download the 64-bit client for PC/Mac (using one of the links below), and unzip it into your World of Warcraft directory. Once you extract the files you can start the 64-bit client by opening the Launcher as normal (Run as Administrator if applicable). To switch back to the 32-bit client, go into Options -> Game Preferences, and check the Launch 32-bit client setting. The game will display which version you are using at the bottom left hand corner of the login screen. ex: Version 4.3.2 (15211) (Release x64)

Build 4.3.2.15211 - PC link, Mac link

**Important things to keep in mind**
  • The 64-bit client is being distributed separately from the Retail version as it is not yet supported for use with World of Warcraft.
  • Launching the game in 64-bit mode can only be done after patching the game to version 4.3.2, downloading and extracting the necessary files.
  • The game’s built in voice chat does not currently work when using the 64-bit client.
  • [Mac] The 64-bit Mac client does not currently support the in-game movie recording functionality.
  • [Mac] The 64-bit Mac client iTunes' Remote feature does not work at the present time.
  • [Mac] The 64-bit Mac client does not currently support the customized LCD display for the Logitech G15 series of keyboards.
  • [Mac] The 64-bit Mac client is currently not supported on 10.5 systems. You will need 10.6.8 or later for this version.
    Additional System Requirements:

Windows XP Professional “x64 Edition” / 64-bit Windows Vista / 64-bit Windows 7 (latest service packs).Mac OS 10.6.8 or newer.Mac Computer with Core 2 Duo or better2 GB or more of RAM.

If you encounter any issues while using the 64-bit version, please report your findings in this thread and return to using the 32-bit executable. In order to facilitate support when contacting Technical Support, please inform them if you are using the 64 bit client.

To remove the 64-bit client completely, delete the following files from your World of Warcraft folder:

    Windows
    Battle.net-64.dll
    MovieProxy.exe
    WoW-64.exe

    Mac
    World of Warcraft-64.app

Mac: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4287

Just put the stuff from the Zip in your wow folder and then run the launcher.

Welcome to Inconceivable

27 December 2011 - 01:12 PM

Welcome to Inconceivable!

As an initiate, you need to be familiarized on how our raiding system functions. Please take the time to read all of the information below, any questions should be directed at your role leader or their consultant.

  • You need to start signing up for raids using the "Raid Planner" tab above. The forums and the planner don't use the same accounts, thus you must make another account on it. Once you made an account create a character at Create > Character. Please only use your exact character name, and use correct capitalization for the obsessive compulsive.
Raid Planner Etiquette:
  • If you are unable to attend a raid, signup as "Not Available".
  • Failure to show up for a raid you signed up for is an EP penalty.
  • If you show up and are not signed up you will be put last on the Priority list of raiders.
Raiding Rules:
  • If you are late for a raid, you are not able to get EP unless brought into the raid.
  • Do not get saved to any raids unless said otherwise. The only exception is if we have downed something you are not saved to. For example if we kill Ultraxion without you, you are free to kill Ultraxion and below, and thus you may pug it.
  • We try to do Baradin Hold every week. However, if we have not done it by Thursday you are free to pug it.
Role and Standby Channels:

You need to join the "IncStandby" channel and your specific role channel below.
  • Healers = IncHealer (Orack is your Role Leader)
  • Melee DPS = NulapSucks (Teslácoil is your Role Leader)
  • Tanks = PostFiggil (Moshii is your Role Leader)
  • Ranged DPS = ProAssCasters (Helorin is your Role Leader)
What is IncStandby?

IncStandby is where all EPGP information is announced. It's also where everything gets spammed for you get on standby if it's your night to sit. You will need to resend your whispers per the instructions that are spammed in that channel and vent every 30 minutes. Please see your Role Leader or an Officer immediately if you have any questions about this.

What is my Role Channel for?

This is where your role will talk about assignments for the night. (Interrupts, Healing, Buffing, Tanking, ..etc) It is also used to talk about what is going wrong in the fight and how to fix it. This clears up vent.

Please visit this link to learn more about EPGP, Penalty's, and Bonuses. EPGP System

How to Get Loots:

If you want something that dropped off of a boss, you will need to put your name in Raid Chat as it is individually announced. You will type in OS for items you want on your Off Spec. Off Spec items are at 10% cost. However, if you are seen with an item you received as Off Spec on your Main Spec you lose Off Spec costs.
  • Raid Chat should be clear as loot is going out; unless of course you are bidding on items. If you wish to congratulate someone or need to say something you may use vent or type it in another chat. Like Guild Chat..
  • DO NOT LOOT BOSSES. The loot master does this. If you want to see the loot you can wait, shift-click loot, or turn off auto-looting.
Raiding Etiquette:
  • All bosses that have already been downed by Inconceivable are considered known by our raiders and we will not go over them in great detail to those who have not seen them. You will be expected to research them on your own time. If you don't, it will show.
  • You are responsible for Flasks, Pots, Food, and Repairs. Repairs, Flasks, and Food are usually provided for you. However, if we do not get donations to support everyone it will be required of you to bring your own materials.

This is where we will assess your performance, so try to do your best! Aim to impress, and we don't bite too hard.
